¡Hola! My name is Arie [pron. A-ree-e], I am a Mexican multidisciplinary designer, entrepreneur, and educator based between Brooklyn and CDMX. I am also an artist working mostly with paper and found materials.
Today
I lead Casa Xali (ca-sa shah-lee), a creative studio and social enterprise that collaborates with artisans and urban workers across México.
I design buildings and interiors at Salomon Arquitectos.
I handle business development and project management for kal, a design studio and outsourcing partner helping architects and designers execute their projects and grow their practices.
I teach architecture and design at Pratt Institute, City Tech (CUNY), and NJIT.
I make art and study the relationship between abstraction and printed matters.
Once
I collaborated with Yellow Studio to design stages and experiences.
I designed buildings, interiors, and landscapes with Snohetta.
I ideated and designed the first bikeable office building for WeWork.
I conceptualized, designed, and built art shows at the Whitney Museum of American Art.
I researched the mathematical properties of seeds and fruits with Dr. Haresh Lalvani at Lalvani Studio and the Center for Experimental Structures.
I received my BArch from Pratt Institute’s SoA.
